But not only military affairs will be presented. Anyone will be able to see the life and everyday life of warriors, perhaps taste the historical dishes prepared according to old recipes from the products that were in use at that time. Since we are engaged in historical reconstruction, there will be a performance of costumes where their owners will tell how, why, from what our distant ancestors sewed their clothes, they will reveal the panorama of those times through samples of preserved and reconstructed clothes, household items. The program of the festival is very rich, so the festival is designed for two days. On the first day of the festival, the emphasis is on mass events such as wall-to-wall fights, assault on fortifications, maneuvers on the ground, all-around ... A traditional reenactment of the battle for Klin in the Great Patriotic War took place on the wasteland behind the Ice Palace. The event was dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow, in which the Nazis were defeated. Traditionally, the organizers of the reconstruction were the MKU "Department for Culture, Physical Culture and Youth Policy of the Klin Municipal District" and the Klin District Public Organization "Search Detachment of Podvig".
The reenactment of the battle attracted a huge mass of Klinchans. Many organizations from different districts of Moscow, Moscow region, Tver, Oryol and Kaluga regions helped the Klin organizers. About a hundred participants, equipped in the winter uniform of the Red Army and the Wehrmacht, several combat vehicles, armored vehicles, artillery pieces.

This time, the reenactors were supported by a whole fleet of military equipment from the times of the Great Patriotic War - a BA-20 machine-gun armored car, a Krupp Protze light truck, a Hanomag half-track armored personnel carrier in the version of a command and staff vehicle. The light Czech tank "Praga" (a full-scale copy of a combat vehicle provided by one of the Russian film studios) became a real sensation. Tanks of this model were in service with the German 7th armored division, which took an active part in the battles for Klin in November and December 1941. They really helped with both equipment and personnel. Of the heavy infantry weapons, a 45-mm anti-tank gun, a 7.5-cm German infantry escort gun, a Maxim heavy machine gun, and a Simonov self-loading anti-tank rifle were presented. Copies of a machine-gun cap and slingshots made of metal corners with barbed wire were used as fortification elements. After all, it is actually interesting and important to see and know what weapons they fought with, how the soldiers of both sides were dressed and equipped.
Although according to the data at that time there was a frost - 40 and a lot of snow, such conditions in which it is very difficult to fight. And in our time, it turned out to be an almost “European” low-frost winter. Spectators could see how the battle went. Rifles, machine guns and machine guns fired, cannons fired, shells exploded. A classic episode of the Soviet counter-offensive near Moscow was played - the capture of a German stronghold. The battle with the Nazis was accompanied by rifle and machine-gun fire, volleys of cannons, the roar of explosives, the roar of engines, the clang of caterpillars and shouts of "Hurrah!" Hand-to-hand combat culminated.
The battle is over, we have won. There was communication and photography with the Germans, of course, the surprise of the safety of ammunition and weapons. Especially active in communication were children who were in a state of sincere admiration and delight. The children collected spent cartridges and asked to hold the weapon. And everyone could get acquainted with copies of weapons and equipment, talk with reenactors and take photos as a keepsake. At the end of the event, the equipment was carefully rolled up and loaded onto trucks.
This year will traditionally be rich in historical reconstructions. It is as if history itself will step onto the streets of Moscow and the surrounding regions, returning us briefly to the distant past. We are waiting for a lot of interesting things!

For five whole days - from June 12 to June 16, 2019, the annual knightly tournament "St. George's Tournament" will be held in Kolomenskoye, in which the best knights from all over the world will meet on the lists in equestrian and foot fights.
Spectators will witness serious battles as part of a colorful show built according to the canons of Medieval ceremonies. Tournament guests will have a chance to see historical armor and weapons, the maximum observance of the rules of the Late Middle Ages, a high level of technical training and entertainment.

On August 17 and 18, at the recreation center "Golovinka" in the Kaluga region, clubs of historical reconstruction, together with ethnographic and folklore groups and artisans from neighboring countries, will take part in the XII festival of historical clubs "Warrior's Field".
Guests are promised a complete immersion in the history of Ancient Rus'. The stadium will host a reconstruction of a large-scale historical battle with the participation of warriors, archers and horsemen. Traditionally, historical camps will be spread out in the open air.

Field Kulikovo
The annual military-historical festival dedicated to the Day of Military Glory of Russia and the 639th anniversary of the Battle of Kulikovo will work for visitors in September - from 19 to 22 - on the Kulikovo field.
Its guests have a great opportunity to look into the era of the real Middle Ages and feel like an eyewitness to the Battle of Kulikovo. Within the framework of the festival, tournaments and duels, demonstration performances of equestrian military historical clubs, competitions for the historical reconstruction of armor, costume and traditional cuisine, concerts and a fair are held.
